Have you ever found yourself wandering through or dreaming about the charming streets of Paris, with the beautiful architecture and colors? I certainly have, and it was on my last trip to Paris that the inspiration for this post came to me. I couldn’t help but be captivated by the way the colors of Paris seamlessly blended together, creating a feast for the eyes at every turn. The soft pastels of the solid wood doors, the deep black of the iron balconies, and the pops of color from flower-filled window boxes all came together to create a sense of romance and sophistication that is a truly magical thing about the City of Light.
With my camera in hand, I set out to capture these stunning scenes, but I quickly realized that it wasn’t enough to simply print off the photos and hang them in my home. I wanted to replicate the colors I had seen in my photographs! If you too are looking to bring the charm and beauty of the Parisian streets into your own home, take a look at these color palettes. My pictures from the streets of Paris have been color-matched to Sherwin Williams’ paint colors.
Each palette captures a different aspect of the city, from the soft and natural colors of Jardin des Tuileries to the timeless elegance of a grand Parisian hotel. Now, you can use my photos and color palettes to bring a touch of Paris into your own home!

Choosing the Right Parisian Paint Colors for Your Home
Now that you’re armed with over a dozen Parisian color palettes, you’re probably ready to start subtly refreshing your rooms or giving them a full-blown makeover! Of course, make sure you get a sample before buying gallons of new paint. The colors in this post may look different on your screen than they do in real life, and it’s important to test them out before committing. (Because have you seen the price of paint these days?)
When it comes to Parisian colors, think of soft pastels, muted tones, and timeless elegance. The goal is to create a sense of sophistication and romance, reminiscent of the streets of Paris. Start by considering the overall mood you want to create in each room. Do you want it to be calm and serene, or vibrant and lively? This will help you determine whether to opt for cooler or warmer tones.
Next, think about the natural light in each room. If you have plenty of natural light, you can go for bolder and richer colors. But if the room is on the darker side, you might want to stick to lighter shades to keep the space feeling bright and airy. (But purposefully moody rooms can be great too.)
And unless you’re planning on doing an overhaul, consider the existing furniture and decor in your home. Look for paint colors that will complement your current pieces to create a cohesive look so you don’t find yourself needing to start over with everything.
Lastly, don’t be afraid to experiment and have fun with your color choices! You can even go as far as to mix and match colors from the different Parisian color palettes to create a look that feels like you and is unique to your home. These Parisian paint colors are meant to be inspiration and they make a great starting point for creating a Parisian-inspired color scheme in your home.
