While there are always trends that come and go, there are always the same staples and fall must-haves that you need every year too. It doesn’t take much to get your wardrobe fall ready- just 5 pieces in fact! Keep reading to figure out what they are.
5 Fall Must-Haves
1. Utility Jacket
This is a classic piece that you can throw on with most outfits to give it that fall edge (and warmth)! A go-to way to wear this jacket is with a striped shirt, but it doesn’t have to stop there! You can throw it on over a floral dress or pair it with a plain tee, graphic tee, or sweater. You can play into the “rough” look by pairing it with biker boots.
2. Anything Fall Colors
There are just some colors that scream fall no matter what year it is: mustard yellow, maroon, and forest green to name a few. These colors are just way too fun to play around with, and if you’re feeling adventurous, you can combine some or all of them into one outfit!

3. Cozy Sweater
It goes without saying that fall means #sweaterweather. There are sweaters in all shades, but I’m partial to a thick, cozy one in a creamy shade. Sweaters are great because they can be worn with pretty much any bottoms and they look great on their own too!
4. Boots
Booties, knee-high boots, over-the-knee boots, thigh-high boots…so many boots! The “it” style is probably always going to change, but you can always bet that boots will be a staple for fall in whatever form they take shape in.
5. Classically Fall Prints
There are some certain prints that show their face, again and again, each fall. Stripes, leopard print, and plaid are definitely staples. And with the right styling, these fun prints can all work together.
